Dr OKEMBA, Director of the National Center of Excellence in the Republic of Congo
Prior his appointment as National Director Dr. OKEMBA was the assistant of Professor Richard ONIANGUE, Focal Point of the Alliance in Congo. He facilitated the adhesion of Congo with the Alliance with the signature by Mr. Henri OSSEBI, Minister of Higher Education of the Alliance Country Convention on August 20th, 2008.
Following the passing of Professor ONIANGUE, Dr. OKEMBA was appointed Deputy Director of the Higher Institute of Physical Education and Sports in charge of academic affairs at Marien NGOUABI University in Brazzaville. He was also the Head of Service in charge of Relations with Training and Research Centers at the General Directorate of Sports and Physical Education, Head of the Research Commission at the Congolese National Paralympic Federation.
Dr. OKEMBA is currently Managing Director of the Clavis Atlas Institut. His mission since 2021 is to provide his expertise in the management of this higher education institution.
Dr. OKEMBA acquired his knowledge in physical education and sports through courses in sciences and techniques of physical and sports activities at the Higher Institute of Physical Education and Sports of the Marien NGOUABI University of Brazzaville in 1987, then through a doctorate in didactics of disciplines in 2009 at the Ecole Normale Supérieure of Marien NGOUABI University.
Lecturer at Marien NGOUABI University in Brazzaville, he taught for twenty-five years. As a researcher, he has published tens of articles and a collection of books. He was institutional manager of the CTS STAPS-JL of ISEPS (Marien NGOUABI University) for 3 years. His in-depth knowledge of the field comes from thirty-three years of experience teaching physical education and sports to young people.
Dr. OKEMBA is a Congolese citizen who has always been passionate about development issues. Concerned about the issue of the integration of young people through sport, the management of the National Center of Excellence represents a new challenge for him.
