Dr. Medina Srem-Sai, Director of the National Center of Excellence of Ghana

Dr. Medina Srem-Sai has been appointed by the Alliance on May 9, 2023 as the Director of the National Center of Excellence of Ghana. She will oversee the implementation of the national Strategic Development Plan of Ghana and develop, coordinate and co-manage the NCE and each ESHLs with the Ministry of Sports.


She is a Lecturer in the Department of Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Sports (HPERS), University of Education, Winneba, Ghana. She teaches physical education and sports psychology, supervises student projects and conducts research while being involved in community services to help society.


She served as Head of the Department of Physical Education and Sports and as a District Physical Education Coordinator, has organized sports festivals in basic schools and has supervised the teaching and learning of physical education.


Dr. Medina Srem-Sai is a Doctor of Philosophy in Physical Education (Sports Psychology), Department of Health, Physical Education and Recreation from the University of Cape Coast, Cape Coast, Ghana


She is also a Commonwealth International Female Mentor under the Commonwealth Female Leadership Program, 2023 - Mentoring Women in Sport in Commonwealth Regions.


Author or co-author of 33 scientific articles and a book chapter, she has participated in numerous national and international conferences and seminars. She was recently a member of the organizing committee of the Conference on Physical Education and Sports in collaboration with an American university.
